Super Saiyan Jay – Let Them Be [Interview]

In Let Them Be a great variety of flows blends with a heavy on 808s instrumental. Tell us a few things about it

“Let Them Be” as far as an instrumental was really hitting all the components for me in a beat. The 808’s are strong and rough and the beat just has that rugged sound I was looking for.

Where did you draw inspiration from?

As far the inspiration. I just do what I normally do and just let the music come to me naturally. I never force my pen, which provides me my best creative work when the motivation to create does come to me.

What first got you into music?

What first got me into music was my parents really. I don’t think I can think of a time where I wasn’t influenced by music. I’ve been banging on pots and pans since I was 2 years old. So may from then on is what did it for me.

Favorite music related film?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I had to google the meaning of this specific question haha. But I don’t think I could pick just one. There’s a good amount but, Hustle and Flow, Cadillac Records, School of Rock etc. It’s a long list, but to name a few.

What would you say is your biggest vice?

I think my biggest vice is that I’m a perfectionist. Which isn’t really a bad thing in most cases but when it comes to being creative. It can
