Lorraine Bautista – Frontline [Interview]

Describe your sound in 3 words

Pop, Soul, R&B 🙂

Frontline contains a classic, bass heavy R&B instrumental and an expressive vocal delivery. Tell us a few things about your new song. What is the main idea behind it?

Well in short, the main message of the track is about perseverance and faith. When you have a vision, sometimes the journey is not always easy. “Frontline” was written to convey the importance of believing in yourself in spite of uncertainty and doubt.

What first got you into music?

I liked music as a child and later learned that music can connect people from different parts of the world while also being a great source of comfort and inspiration— so that’s pretty cool

Favourite album of the past decade?

I would have to say JoJo’s album Good to Know. She’s always been an inspiration of mine growing up so I was so ecstatic when she finally released her album. So many good songs on that album!

What would you change in the music industry?

Well, I think the fair answer would be that the music industry has changed over the years and there’s more opportunity now than there ever was. Just like in every area of life, opportunity is out there you just have to put in the work.

Favorite film ever?

I wouldn’t say I’m huge on films but I would say Good Will Hunting & Dead Poet Society

What is the most useless talent you have?

I mean I definitely wouldn’t say it’s the most useful, but I can do a 3-leaf-clover with tongue haha

Thank you!
