Hot Mustard – Mustard Green

The award winning instrumental recording duo Hot Mustard is back with their latest work titled Mustard Green, a cocktail of funky and jazz hop elements. From the very first moments, the listener comes across with a dusty, trip hop oriented beat which is blended with mellow guitar licks. On top of that the instrumental is enriched with a couple of retro inspired synth sounds adding a vintage twist to the song. Last but not least a naughty, multilayered brass section adds a funky mood to the song. A music project which will turn your routine afternoon into a velvet one. The song comes with a video clip that feels very original indeed and captures the vibe of the song perfectly. Enjoy!

Discover the magic world of Henry Aberson [Review]

Today we will help you discover the magic world of Henry Aberson. This is a short introduction of Henry’s music using 3 tracks each with a distinct sonic palette.

In Hang It Up the artist teams up with Nariah Taylor and Korey Keys delivering a chill production filled with very warm keys, a sensual vocal delivery, a laid back groove on a simple but effective I-VI-IV-V chord progression. Let It Burn features Stephanie Oliver, Edwin Canito Garcia, Tye Slagle & Corey Mauser and is characterised by the beautifully crafted, comfy groove which blends with sultry guitar licks. Once again the I-IV-V chord progression remains simple but effective. In Vibe A, the artist is showcasing a more funky, groovy side of his artistic identity. A playful instrumental, filled with skilful improvisations accompanied by charming guitars and the mellow sound of the organ.

Wolf – Bleed [Review]

Welcome to the world where everything from dubstep to metal unite. Bleed.
The intro piece sets the mood. With manipulated vocals, the signature trap gun sounds and an epic dubstep drop, the track sets the tone for the rest of your listening experience, which will be filled with nicely disturbed sounds. In maxxed out, a blend of heavyweight sounds blend with chaotic wobbles and even some festival trance leads.

Are you ready?

Garbage is once again heavy on guitars, with an almost chaotic driving distortion, but this time the arrangement involves some clean raps too. In mentality, the outro sound of the EP, low growls meet some clean spitting on a strangely beautiful beat with strong experimental vibes.

If you are that person who is into all these different genres, Wolf is ready to grant all your musical wishes. Listen below!

Toya Delazy – Tini [Review]

In Tini, part of her latest album Afrorave, Vol. 1, Toya Delazy crafts an electronic production that provides room to bring her signature flow into the light. The track is driven by a minimal, tribal infused groove, a homage to her South African heritage. With huge ambient sub synth pads, an intriguing riff and unconventional back vocals, the track sounds as original as it gets, making it very hard to label it under specific genres. Toya Delazy is building up a buzz around her gigs for a reason. Make sure to check her live next time she visits your city.

Joshua Singh – All I Ever Learnt [Review]

All I Ever Learnt by Joshua Singh is characterised by the expressive vocal delivery in which relatively dry, low pitch vocals blend with nicely manipulated, vocoder style high pitch ones. The vocal section, which has a lovely James Blake touch, is mixed with a irresistibly warm, nicely repetitive, atmospheric soundscape. The added reverb adds depth and works as a glue to the whole track. If All I Ever Learnt was a picture it would be a very colourful one, like the heavenly aromas and colours you would discover in a spice market in the commercial capital of India, Mumbai. The track comes with a very effective video clip. Enjoy below!

Dorian – Proud [Review]

Dorian, the artist from Baltimore, keeps the momentum with another release, a professionally crafted love song titled Proud, which can be characterised by its feel good factor. Dorian is the kind of artist that writes music that can be defined as personal and honest. Lyrically, the artist admits emphatically that believes in love, resulting in an uplifting track with very positive vibes. The backing track has a very cool retro touch with 80’s infused, classic synth arpeggios. The instrumental is enriched with a refreshingly groovy beat which has a classic hip hop/rnb feeling, making it a perfect fit for your next, commercial, dj friendly mixtape. Dorian is not new to us.
